The Encoda automation in
Zee TV is used for Playout & Ingesting
purpose.
Playout Automation: This is the generic term for the more common
type of television system where the channel consists of program
material inter-linked with commercial breaks, promos, bumpers
etc. Material playout is performed on a frame accurate basis
from a combination of Servers, VTRs, cart machines and live
feeds with transmission output being via either presentation
mixers or direct from a matrix, and voice-overs, logos, DSKs
etc. Being added downstream under automation control up to 24
playout channels using the latest high performance Encoda automation
CPUs.
Ingest Automation : This is the automation
system used to record material into servers in advance of the
transmission requirements . Material information can be entered
into a 'schedule' either manually from a workstation, or from
an automated list presented to the Ingest system from an external
source such as a traffic scheduling System. |
